Purloft exists because we think that is a false choice. Every piece we carry has to earn its place twice: once with the cat, and once with the person who has to look at it every day.

We started with a simple frustration. The pieces that looked good were flimsy, and the pieces that held up were built like scratching posts from a vet clinic waiting room. So we went looking for makers working in natural rattan, solid wood, and woven materials, and we kept only what survived both tests. Every product on this site is chosen by hand, checked against our own standards for build quality and materials, and packed to arrive in one piece.

What we care about is straightforward. Materials that last longer than a season. Shapes that sit quietly in a room instead of shouting at it.
