Description
PE rattan is what makes the Aurelia last where natural cane would not. It has the same woven look but resists scratching, shrugs off humidity, and wipes clean instead of absorbing whatever gets spilled on it, so this holds up to daily use indoors or on a covered patio.
The metal base lifts the basket clear of the floor. That gets a cat off cold tile in winter and away from floor level draughts, and it gives the piece the profile of a small chair rather than a basket sitting on the ground.
At 8.82 lbs assembled it is stable enough not to shift when a cat jumps in, and light enough to move between rooms. The PP cotton cushion inside softens the woven shell and lifts out when it needs cleaning.
