The Elmwood is the natural finish version of our rattan perch tree, left unstained so the timber grain and the cane weave read as one material. It suits rooms where a painted or carpeted cat tree would sit badly against wood floors and furniture.
Function is unchanged. Two levels give a cat height and a defined resting spot, and the woven perch offers a surface a cat can dig claws into and settle on rather than the slick platforms that make cats slide when they land.
Natural wood ages rather than degrades. Marks and wear read as patina on unfinished timber where they read as damage on a laminate or carpet finish, so this looks better in year three than a coated cat tree does in month three.
