The Lumen is a cat tower that does not look like one. Woven rattan replaces the carpet-wrapped particleboard that makes most cat trees something you apologise for, so this can stand in a living room rather than a spare bedroom.
Underneath the finish it still does the three jobs a cat needs. The scratching post takes claw wear off your furniture, the enclosed woven condo gives a hiding place at mid height, and the cushioned top perch puts your cat above the room where they prefer to keep watch.
Rattan also holds up better to scratching than carpet. It does not pill, mat down, or shed fibres across the floor, and the weave keeps its grip long after a carpeted post has gone smooth and stopped interesting the cat.
