The Strata layers three kinds of resting place into one tower: an enclosed condo for cats that want to disappear, a slung hammock for cats that want to sprawl, and open platforms for cats that want to watch the room. Most cats use all three depending on mood.
Five or more levels is enough vertical range for two or three cats to coexist on the same structure. The scratching posts run between levels, so a cat passing from one platform to the next scratches on the way rather than needing a separate post elsewhere in the room.
The XL sizing is the point of difference. Plenty of towers are built around a small cat; this one carries adult cats on every level, including the hammock, without the sag that makes a larger animal stop trusting a surface.
